Vessel of Prayer

Our sacred tradition says we all hold each other’s hearts within ourselves; under the guidance of the spirits, in harmony with the Earth Below and Stars Above.
At times when one is distracted by pain, illness, loneliness, being unseen or unheard, forgotten, oppression, imprisoned and abused, one needs to be held in a shell of prayer by the community. When you find yourself in such a dark time, please ask for a ‘placation’, that is to be held in the Vessel of Prayer. We, the Sagart, consider it our sacred purpose to be the place of refuge for those caught in momentary darkness.
When a name comes in, a ribbon is added to the Prayer Tapestry, and each of us holds that name and location in our prayerful tending, and in our regular prayerful rituals for 3 days; merely holding space for the intervention of the Divine in the Mundane.
We may not know the specifics of why the placation is sought, or even if our prayer has the desired affect. We believe only that in the darkness, that person is being held. Sometimes that is all that is needed.
At our incarnation, all things are given to us; even these momentary diversions through darkness. Yet often we forget this and cry out like lost children, hoping that some able ones may hear and hold us. This is the essence of the prayer “Abhrannmathea”; a child calling into the dark that some parent will hold and comfort them.
If you seek placation for someone else who is unwell and needs spiritual tending, please mention that in the request. We request that this be done with the intended recipient’s permission, when possible.
"May my ancestors, your ancestors, ancestors of those who are not aware of their presence, ancestors of those who have forgotten about them, find peace.
May the divine Mother Earth, Prakruti, find peace.
May we heal so that we may take mindful steps.
May we all remember to always remember where we came from.
May we always be respectful to our roots."
